FlowSpend Privacy Policy

FlowSpend is a personal expense tracker, bill splitter, savings planner, warranty organizer, and household finance app operated by Mohamed Said as an individual developer.

Information we store

• Account details such as name, email, username, Firebase user ID, and the sign-in provider you choose (email, Google, or Apple).
• Financial information you enter, including income, budgets, commitments, expenses, currencies, categories, account balances, transfers, savings goals, shared commitments, split bills, and lending records.
• Household details such as household size, marital status, children’s ages, kids’ allowances, and pet types, used to personalize planning features.
• Warranty details, service history, notes, receipt photos, and other files you choose to attach.

We do not collect card numbers, bank login credentials, or payment credentials. FlowSpend does not move money through the app.

Zambi AI assistant

Zambi is optional. Before a question is sent, FlowSpend asks for your permission and explains that the question plus the minimum relevant financial summaries needed to answer it may be sent to Anthropic through our secure Firebase server. We do not send passwords, authentication tokens, payment credentials, receipt photos, or full account credentials. You can decline or stop using the assistant at any time.

Sharing with other users

Your name, email, and username may be discoverable to signed-in FlowSpend users so they can connect with you. A connection can see only shared commitments, shared lending records, and any proof image or note attached to that shared record. Budget and income sharing are off by default and are limited to the connection and categories you choose. Individual expenses, split bills, and unrelated records remain private.

Where information is stored

FlowSpend uses Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. Firebase processing uses the locations configured for this project; Cloud Functions used by FlowSpend run in us-central1. Access is protected by server-side authentication and Firestore security rules. See Google Firebase’s privacy information.

How we use information

We use information only to provide budgeting, expense tracking, savings, commitments, sharing, receipt scanning, warranty, notifications, security, support, and the optional Zambi assistant. We do not sell or rent personal information, show advertising, or use third-party advertising trackers.

Receipt scanning and photos

Receipt scanning uses Apple’s Vision framework on your device. Receipt images are not uploaded for scanning. Photos you choose to attach to a shared record are stored with that record and visible to the people with whom you share it.

Your choices

• Edit or delete information in the app.
• Export available financial history from Settings.
• Delete your account from Settings, or email mohamedsaid31@gmail.com to request access, correction, export, or deletion.
• Withdraw permission for optional AI processing by turning off the assistant or declining the consent prompt.

Children

FlowSpend is not directed to children under 13. Children’s ages may be entered by a parent or guardian only for household budget suggestions; children do not have FlowSpend accounts.

Retention and changes

We keep your information until you delete it or your account. Deletion removes it from active systems; service-provider backups may remain temporarily. If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and provide notice in the app where appropriate.
